Tech Team Lunch!

25 06 2009

If you turn knobs, run a camera, keep the words on the screens, edit video, or anything of the sort, STAY AFTER CHURCH THIS SUNDAY FOR LUNCH PLANS!

We’re going to eat, laugh, and fellowship for a bit.  I can’t tell you thanks enough for all of the time you put in and the sacrifices you make.  You guys are awesome!

See Ya Sunday,

Scott

Wednesday Prayer and Praise

4 06 2009

I hope you all had the chance to make it out last night to our first prayer meeting.  It was a powerful time in the Lord!  First, I wanted to thank the new worship team addition to our department for the phenomenal job they did last night!  Tim, Alan, Colby, Tim, and Trent are anointed and I am tremendously excited about what they bring to the family here at Eagle’s Nest.  Please keep them in your prayers!

Secondly, we need to expand our tech department to cover the tech needs for our growing ministry.  If there are any of you, since you are already artistically inclined, that would be interested in learning sound, lights, or projection to be a part of any of the services that you don’t currently serve on a team for – PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

I love you guys greatly and am so excited about what the Lord is doing in our midst!

Blessings,

Pastor Scott

June Schedule

30 05 2009

I have finally been able to wade through everyone’s summer schedules and issue out a June draft. Please look it over and see if I’ve missed anything. I purposely scheduled everyone a tad less for the month of June as we are entering into the new Tuesday night practice schedule and everyone seems to be heading off into summer activities. It’s going to be an awesome summer and I pray that the Lord is going to rest you all greatly. The July and August schedules will be following shortly.

Please come on out and be a part of the Wednesday night prayer service as we seek the face of God. Also be in prayer as we restructure the choir and prepare for this year’s camp-meeting (August 12-16).

REMEMBER – Sunday team practices are now Tuesday nights at 6:30 PM. Please arrive a tad before 6:30 PM and set up so we can start promptly with a time of prayer and devotion. Love you guys!

Choir Reminder

11 05 2009

Hi Gang!

I pray you all are doing fantastic!  Summer is upon us, the year has gone very quickly and we’re already talking about this year’s coming Christmas progam!  Can you believe it?

I just wanted to remind all of you who have participated in the choir that there will be a very important meeting this coming Sunday, May 17th, about 15 minutes follwing the the morning service.  Please make plans to attend as we will be discussing the choir schedule and changes to our choir program.

Love you guys,

Pastor Scott

The Beginning and End of Worship

7 05 2009

Here’s a great quote from the book “Worship Matters” by Bob Kauflin that I’m reading.

“Magnifying God’s greatness begins with the proclamation of objective, biblical truths about God, but it ends with the expression of deep holy affections towards God.  We aren’t simply reciting facts about God, like students reviewing their multiplication tables.  God wants us to delight in him (Psalm 37:4).  He is exalted when all our energies are directed to one end – being satisfied in who he is. “The engagement of the heart in worship is the coming alive of the feelings and emotions and affections of the heart,” John Piper writes. “Where feelings for God are dead, worship is dead.”

May Schedule and Important Choir Information

27 04 2009

Hi Gang!

What an awesome time it has been over the last few months!  Christmas, Easter, and the week to week services have been full of God’s Spirit and redemptive power!  You guys have put in so much time and effort and I am thankful!

Here is the link to the May Schedule – may-2009.  Please review and let me know if any of the dates do not work for you. Please let me know of any needed changes this week if you can.  Thanks.

The choir is off of the schedule for this month due to Bonny (and others) attending the Fireproof Bible study and some much needed restructuring of the group.  However, there is a very important meeting that will be held for the choir on May 17th following the Sunday Morning service.  Please make plans to attend this meeting.  Also, let everyone who is in the choir and anyone who might be interested in being in the choir know about this very important meeting.

I love you guys more than I can say and am praying for God’s mighty move in your life daily!  Please know I am here for you and let me know if there is anything you need from me!

Blessings

Pastor Scott
